This is last year's import from Thailand, didn't do much really the whole time, some new roots, so I was very happy to see the spike! Growing it like my Vandas, very cute!

Tommy is this one of the plants that was in the missing but found again shipment? Sorry if I bring up old bad history. But the irony is, it was lost, thought gone, recovered and you got it to bloom, that is really something to be proud!

Matt IT IS, and actually funny you asked about it, there were few plants missing, and some 4 did not make it at all, but I kept all the others, it took literally MONTHS for some, this one did grew only 2 leaves and some roots in 8 months, but rewarded me with spike, 2 Bulbophyllum divisions FINALLY started to grow new growths (after 8 months of doing totally nothing), Paraphalaenopsis is growing one new root, again, just hanging for 8 months doing nothing! Chiloschista from that package was the same story, for 6 months nothing at all, I cleaned it 2 month ago again from all old dead roots, remounted to cork from tree fern and added that bonsai slow releasing round fertilizer, and now it grew new root already attached to cork, it grew tiny leaf just now and there are 2 probably roots starting to grow! I must say, I am very happy but I had no clue it can take sooooooo long for some imported plants to grow anything!

I dare say, with regard to this plant and the other plants you mentioned above, you got a happy ending! <S>. In your opinion, would you do that again? I really like this plant, it is unusual and lovely! You seem to have a lot of ability finding and growing unusual plants.

Matt, I swore to myself I would never do it after that package, but lot has changed since than! First, I have much more knowledge, and skills with growing, also, I can see, that even plants are not in great shape, with some good care and patience I can still save them and even it takes 8 months, I can make them grow or bloom! So YES, actually I would do international orders again, and much more likely now, but only for the plants that are hard to find here in the US or much more expensive. That being said, I did already apply for few USDA import permits for different countries to have in hand, when I will be ready to order, and received some, including the green/yellow labels needed. So I am ready, and will for sure order sometime imports again. Right now, with Redlands show, I have already so so many pre ordered from South America, Asia etc, that I will be lucky to stuck them all into the car:-) But yes, I will do it again, and this time with more confidence and better prepared:-) Also, unusual, rare, strange looking plants are my thing, and thanks God I am very good with search and able to find pieces that are very hard to obtain:-)

Wow, really nice, Tommy! And great job reviving so many plants from that importation, not so easy to do in my experience.

Cute little rascal. It's so pretty how it is darker at the tips of the petals.

Tommy, I have had 1 of these for a few years but it isn't doing much tho I think it is still alive. Exactly how are you growing it? Thank you in advance. LeeB
