Bc Yellow Bird
This was a Lowe's rescue of a few years back. I have it mounted on cork.
This year it has flowered on 3 separate occasions, this last one the flowers are especially yellow. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/04/19/hajaja3e.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/04/19/erevy3ys.jpg |
Gorgeous. I have been wanting to get a piece of this one for a while. Now I am going to have to go looking again.
I love this plant.
Like you said, it is really intense yellow than usual. Prettier this way I think. |
Mine isn't far off either. I have mine mounted on a potted plumeria in almost full sun.
Very cute!
That is a really striking yellow!
I haven't seen others ( at shows or nurseries ) that colour and the previous blooms weren't that yellow either. The only thing I can think of is that the sliding door has been opened more often as the weather has warmed up, maybe its lovin' that fresh air. It's lovin' something as there are 2 blooms, every other time I only had 1. Weird, but wonderful

Beautiful!

Gorgeous. I bought mine at Lowes a yar ago and it bloomed whole 'winter' here. Sometimes on cool mornings , I smell a faint sweet scent on flowers.
Very nice! I bought one of these last August and would love to have flowers like yours. Something to look forward to. :)
Really lovely!
Love this one!
That is a nice one.
flowering again - this time outdoors.
Notice the different sepal ( ? ) colour.... http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/08/05/yzere6e9.jpg |
Quite normal. The darker colouration will disappear over the next week or two to assume the normal golden colour.
Wonderful colors in both photos.
Is this Bc or Blc? I have a Blc unless labelled wrong. Mine has leaves like nodosa.
Yours has lovely colour, very nice! |
Gorgeous, love the spots and the color!
That's an interesting flower and whoa, that looks a lot different in the more recent picture. That's crazy! And it's going to change back to yellow in the next week someone said? That's pretty cool. Good job keeping it happy enough to flower again and again for you.
yep, the blooms did turn a daffodil yellow after about 10 days. This is growing like a weed now, hope fully I get more than one spike this time around.
Registered name is Brassocattleya [Bc.] (syn. Brassolaelia or Bl.) Yellow Bird. |
