This is a Zygopetulum that I bought in bloom Oct 2012. Blooming again the first time for me. It has three spikes. Color is understated but appropriate for this week. It also smells nice.

Beautiful! I had that one and killed it! It used to bloom all the time for me. Great growing.

Thank you all.

I hear you. I almost roasted this one to death by putting it out in too strong sun.

Here is the same plant with flowers opened on all three spikes.

Nice! I just repotted mine as I had been told to do so every 2 years as they are sensitive to salt build up. I have 2 new growths started, but all the older leaves are turning yellow.... I can only assume that the repotting was traumatic! I hope mine recovers....

sphagnum moss

This one has nice roots is doing very well in sphagnum. It is watered with 75% rain water and a little tap water. The one snafu was ants making a nest in the pot which I managed to wash out without losing spikes. Maybe the plant liked the fertilizer!

Beautiful flowers. I love the fragrant smell in the mornings. I too got three spikes on my rebloom.
