Phal. Joy Spring Tina 'Anaconda' blooming

Waited 15 months for this to bloom; 2nd flower (on the left) opened just a couple days ago. I bought this from Big Leaf back in December 2012.

Oh wow! That's amazing! Is that blue or purple on the lip I'm seeing? I know photos sometimes don't display colors 100% correctly, but it sure looks like a strong blue with purple tints to me, lol...

Hi Paul, really just purple I think. The colors render a little differently on the windows rdp session I'm logged into at work versus my iMac at home. I think the yellow is a little deeper too than what I see in windows. That might be my fault for the shadows & highlights settings I used in photoshop.

That one is beautiful. I wish I could get some plants from Big Leaf, they have some really nice plants.

Great colors. Is the name like the giant snake -anaconda? If so it a really big plant?

I think the name was more from the pattern resembling snakeskin. It's a typical size Phal plant; leafspan is maybe 14 inches and has about 6 leaves right now.

There's one in the Big leaf store in their stem prop section, but I didn't pay quite so much for mine as the listed plant. I had lost out on bidding for one Peter had put up on ebay, but he offered me another at my max bid price.

Hey Jayfar, how is the plant doing after 3 years? I'm getting one from Peter soon!
