The Greater Orlando Orchid Society
Location: The Orlando Garden Club, 710 Rollins Street, Orlando, Fl 32803
Dates: Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Feb, 14, 15 and 16, 2014. Show hours Friday 9-5, Saturday 9-5 and Sunday 10-4.

There will be hundreds of spectacular beautiful blooming orchids for sale and show. Many new hybrids, and species of many genera will be available for purchase and our study group will be selling those hard to find orchid supplies.

Do you have overgrown orchids that need to be repotted? We can repot even the most humongous plants:) Repotting services are priced reasonably and you can watch and learn how to do it yourself! We have potting/orchid supplies at great prices.

Many orchids will be raffled off and this is a great chance to win a plant for the price of a ticket!

Conveniently located near Florida Hospital South off of Princeton St.

Admission is FREE!!!! Parking is FREE!!! :biggrin:

Thanks for the info! I'm going to start marking the show dates on my calender. Can't wait for all the area orchid shows to start up again next year!

I will be there, this was my first orchid show last year. I also went to CFOS' show. But I live practically around the corner from this one.

Made sure to not be working that friday, so I'll be there too. I didn't even know about this show. Last year I went to the Volusia County OS's show, but which one is the CFOS? Don't know about that one either. Looks like I need to get on the ball for this year.

CFOS is the one in Maitland. The crowds are bigger, but the number of vendors is not a huge difference

We have our show every year in February, Greater Orlando Orchid Society, and the CFOS Central Florida Orchid Society has one also; I believe their show is in April. Both are great shows and located in Orlando.

We hope to see many of our fellow orchid lovers in February!!

Hey Zozzl, quick question for you. What was the name of the vendor with that really jam packed sales table? If you walk in from the outside, he was the first table on the left against the wall, with a big variety of species and seedling Carmela clones as well.

I bought a nice sized C. violacea from him today (for a deal compared to what these go for online btw) and I forgot to take a card or anything to keep my records straight, lol! It got busy in there! He was at EFG's thing last October too, and I bought something from him then and forgot back then too. If I don't grab a card or remeber to add it to my phone's app right away, I'll never remember what I got from where and when!

By the way nice job organizing all that, we had a great time shopping today! Thanks to everyone involved.

We have a great potting booth if you want to get your orchids repotting and outside we also have a great selection of fruit trees and tropicals!:waving

I need to remember this and visit my in laws as they love close by.

Just got back, it was decently busy. I didn't see as many awarded plants as last year, but I picked up two great vandas that I will be posting pictures of later in that forum. Very pleased with my purchases (which was through Dan and Margie's Orchids, who have very nice stuff).

Thanks for the info Zozzl! Too bad he doesn't have a website, at many of these local events he's one of the few vendors with NBS species at decent prices.
