So I could not resist...I ordered a new baby... a mini style gramm. only grows leaves up to 10 inches whoa that is so tiny:rofl: well at least by gramm standards its tiny... So is this a normal gramm or is it a special care gramm.

Thanks in advance!!

thank you, I have decided to do a little house cleaning and get the ones I am really attracted to. So if anyone is interested I have a paph. godefroyea to begin with and I think at least one piece of paph honey addict. as well.

Compact and easy to care for. Just follow the Gramm culture. They bloom all year round. Be careful because this is not a perfected hybrid there are some factors in genetics that might stunt some of its growths or you sometimes get a curly spike....that happens when you hurry to form a tall large plant into a dwarf....hopefully you got a healthy hybrid.

Thanks @ Bud its from Larrys orchids so I never usually have to worry.

Hey kindrag, have you sold your paph godefroyae yet? I'd be interested if you're still trying to rehome it :waving

kindrag23 12-06-2013 12:32 PM

No I have not it is in bad shape though. (Came to.me that way) no roots but 2 babies slowly growing and one new fan. Still interested lol!

mooburr 12-06-2013 12:43 PM

Sure! I'd like to give it a go. I don't have any project 'chids I'm obsessing over at the moment. She'd give me something new to worry about haha.

kindrag23 12-06-2013 12:51 PM

sbrofio 12-06-2013 03:38 PM

Ok, I'm not hating you, but evying a lot!!! :)

kindrag23 12-06-2013 03:39 PM

Sorry...

sbrofio 12-06-2013 03:59 PM

No no, grow them and spread them all over the world (Italy too :P )!

kindrag23 12-06-2013 04:03 PM

I would if I could. But I am thinking your a little far and it would be a little expensive also. lol.

sbrofio 12-06-2013 04:09 PM

"only" 148$ and the cost of the plant. 175$ total amount?

kindrag23 12-06-2013 04:11 PM

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeh no :( I paid one of my FDK more than that.

kindrag23 12-06-2013 04:48 PM

Really? A catasetum hybridist sales his for around 100 is the most I have seen thus far on their website.

sbrofio 12-06-2013 04:55 PM

Yeah, I know. But to have them here, you have to pay travel, CITES and Phytosanitary certificates. In Italy (don't know in other UE countries), a private (not professional vendor) could pick only 5 plants for every certificate and they are 50/60€ in total. So you see it's quite hard to buy from USA, or other no-UE countries. I had to pick my 2 FDK from a Pro vendor in Germany (probabily plants from SVO) and so Ipaid a little bit to them too :(

kindrag23 12-06-2013 05:03 PM

wow okay, I get it now. Dang that stinks. I really am sorry now..

sbrofio 12-06-2013 05:24 PM

The only way is to know a professional vendor and ask him/her to pick something and pay him/her. Or, better, go to the vendor with some frineds a make a collective order to divide the fixed costs.

As far as I know, this is a sport of a cloned species, not a hybrid. It does sometimes get some strange and stunted growths, but it is a good grower and a great choice if you love Gramms but don't have the space for the really massive ones! Mine tried to bloom all summer which was a nice surprise, (no special care, just loves the heat and humidity of the summer here I think!)

Laserbeak 12-11-2013 03:51 AM

I plan on ordering one of these too, if you want I can order one for you too and send it to you with no indication that there's a plant inside if you're willing to take the risk.

Tindomul 12-11-2013 09:58 AM
