Most incredible digbyana mix!
C. luteola x B. digbyana
Digbyana is my favourite orchid and I like every mix of it that shows the frilled edges. The orchid in the link... it's the most beautiful orchid I have ever seen! It looks like a sunset. Does anyone know where I can get one like this??? I live currently in Canada, Quebec. ---------- Post added at 11:25 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:12 PM ---------- ...yes, I have check with the place that posted the picture but they can't send it to Canada :( |

It appears it might be called: Bc Leprechaun Legend (C. luteola x B. digbyana)
Gorgeous bloom. I don't see it listed anywhere |
The photo is from one of my friends, Mr. Wang's website. He has a lot of great orchids.

I love them, too. My favorite digby cross is Rhyncholaelia Aristocrat (glauca x digbyana). It is my avatar.

Wow that is indeed gorgeous.

wrong thread...sorry

Beautiful flower! However, I am greatly mystified as to how that cross resulted in offspring with those colors. Digbyana is straight up green/chartreuse and luteola is pretty much the same color scheme with the exception of red and yellow in the throat. Hmm, is there a more colorful variant of luteola out there?

I was thinking the same thing, Paul.

Does seem odd but I guess I have seen other ones that I thought how in the world????? It is absolutely stunning however, I would love to have it if indeed it is that color.
Only reason I know what a luteola is because I was looking into getting one hahahha. I think it's cute. |
