Wonderful, you're certainly making the most of your tropical climate - I'm jealous!

Picotee 08-14-2013 07:11 AM

Love the white catt.

tuvoc 08-14-2013 10:51 AM

Very nice. Do you know the name of #3 and 4?

Kim

tucker85 08-14-2013 11:00 AM

They're all beautiful! Good growing.

WhiteRabbit 08-14-2013 09:27 PM

Fabulous!

Ferns Daddy 08-14-2013 10:14 PM

Beautiful

Chatbud 08-15-2013 01:38 AM

Ciao Juan, didn't notice any phalaenopsis in this and the other set of pictures (the dendrobiums)
Do you grow any?
Cos your country is famous for large exports of phals :)

Juana Jennifer 08-15-2013 03:01 AM

Your photos are absoloutely stunning. They are all beautiful in their own way.

Love it, too. Didn't have flowers for years. Mounted it on a driftwood for three years and finally see it blooms, like a new plant to me!

It is a certain species of phalaenopsis, many of my orchid don't have the names @@

Yes, the last two is a phalaenopsis!
I do have some of those. Phalaenopsis is very low price here, one for $3, two for $5 and three for $7..., so I usually buy for seasonal in the house decoration, after the flower, simply put them in the pots, and they will bloom in the coming spring. I define them as market phals, so really don't care about their names~
p.s. Some very high quality phals are expensive like one for $ 6-12. ( Do I violate the regulations to mention the price here?)

Personally I love P. amabilis and P. schileriana~

Thank you!
I am lucky to have a garden to grow them outdoors, and of course the climate is just right!

I will continue to post my orchids here, so... stay tune!

Huh...:biggrin:I should have taken the whole plant in the picture...

Tagged by handwriting as "Ctn. aRosy Jewel Eva" when I bought it two years ago.

:blushing:

*Giggling* Gosh, I really thinks it looks like a phal of some sorts.

Well regardless, it is absolutely stunning! I love the drawings and colours!

Edit, edit: Looking at the pictures again and I still thinks it looks like a phal. Did something go wrong in the labelling there?

Ha ha, I am very sure it is not a phal.!

But I took the whole plant for you, maybe you can tell me what it is~ It is kind of difficult to find the true name of the orchid here. I simply love to keep them because of the beauty of the blossom and do not care much of the names, so...

 Definitely not a phal!

So I guess it is a Ctn then...a cuitlumnia. A hybrid of Cuitlauzina × Tolumnia. I've never seen a...cuitlauzina in my entire life, but when I google it and look at the images I got to say I think they look really nice!
Really interesting plant you got there.

Wow...:bowing You know so much! Thank you!

Those names are strangers to me, not even in dictionary...
However, I like the blossom, a bit like C.Why Not Walk.;)
