Furan

This is the wild type (Furan). 7 inflorescences this year. I can't wait until it's in full bloom.

I remember how small this was when Gwen gave it to you. It looks amazing now. Great growing, Jim.

How many fans does it have now, Jim? Looks great!

Jayfar 08-03-2013 03:34 PM

Great growing Jim! Do you keep it outdoors during the warm months or was that just for the photo?

WhiteRabbit 08-03-2013 08:17 PM

Fabulous!

Red Orchid 08-03-2013 11:55 PM

How long have you been growing it Jim? It is just beautiful I can't wait to see it in full bloom as well.

DelawareJim 08-04-2013 08:14 AM

Thanks all for the kind comments.

I got this plant 8.28.2008 as a single fan.

Now it has too many fans to count. It's a ball about 8 inches across. I hang it outside in my honey locust tree as soon as night-time temps stay above 45-50 degrees F. It gets dappled sun/shade all day and watered daily with about 50-100 ppm ferts. Either MSU or Miracle-Gro all purpose, which ever I have in the spray bottle.

Cheers.
Jim

Wow, you sure have the touch, Jim.

Wonderful! I hope that with luck, diligence and lots of good advice from this board, I can someday have even half as successful growth of my Neofinetias.

s.kallima 08-05-2013 02:17 AM

very nicely grown plant Jim!

This plant looks fantastic. Well done! seeing plants like this makes me want to grow mine outside. Sadly, with such low humidity, I fear it wouldn't do very well. But you have done amazingly well with this one.
