Double and triple buds!

My Armeni White is spiking for the third time since September (this by the way makes this plant the most free flowering paph I have, I thought twice a year blooming maudiaes were great! ;)

This time though, I see two little buds, so I'm super excited! I have to make sure I don't break off the spike this time.

The next one is a cross of in charm white and in charm greenery. It is in bloom with two flowers open at the moment but I see the third bud developing fine this time.
Last time it flowered, there were three bud sheaths, but the thrid sheath didn't develop any bud in it.
I feel so proud! :D

Wow! Fabulous!

Thank you, all!

Sonya, what paphs dp you have? I have a green complex and spotted complex that are "supposed" to be flowering over the winter or now, but they show no sign of flowering at all. I'm keeping them for another year before dumping out. lol
I wonder if my place is kept too warm over the winter.

I also have a cross of hsinying citron and fairrieanum. It has beautiful leaves and its flower was really nice. It's been growing well (four growth in just one year!) but no flowering for 13 months now. hmmmm
You would think it would be a free bloomer with hsinying citron in it, but oh, well...
I'm keeping this plant forever though as I absolutely loved the flower shape and color and no two plants are the same like many other seed grown paph hybrids. Then again, I have another hybrid with fairrieanum in it and that plant grows quite slowly and bloom every other year, so maybe that could be the pattern.

Oh, I also have one little vini maudiae that I had over one year and no flowers. The growth rate is amazingly slow. I suspect it has virus or something. new leaves keep getting brown patch and I keep cutting them off. One more brown patch and this one is bye bye as I already have accumulated quite a few vini. It would be a sad goodbye as its flower is the best!

Well, I have a strap leaf hybrid - wasn't bloom size when I got it, but should be now, I think - But, the currently growing fans aren't big enough to bloom yet.

I also have delanatii. Bloom size. But currently growing fans aren't big enough yet.

Strap leaf has been growing in a west facing window with some Dens and a Catt intergeneric that bloom, so I think it's getting sufficient light.

The delanatii may not have been getting enough light. I moved it to a sunnier window a few months ago, as well as allowing the media to become a bit drier.

I'm thinking about putting these outside once the night temps are a bit higher. Perhaps getting cool night temps, and a bigger day to night temp difference might do something ...

I assume your strap leaf paph is a multi flowering type? I don't grow them but they can take forever I read. also, difficult to grow in general, although I don't know what makes them so difficult.
I'm just not that drawn to them for some reason including their big plant size.

Delenatii need a lot of water while in growth mode and slightly drier in the winter. I don't think they need too much light as Armeniacum does.
but then again, I read delenatii can be difficult.
I have an Armeni White, which is the cross of the two. the leaves are rather large but look just like its parents. and even better, grows nicely and blooms freely with usual care routine with maudiae or phals.

I grow hybrids only and relatively "easy" ones as I find joy in watching plants grow and flower. otherwise, I get frustrated and that takes away the whole fun for me. :)

I'm sorry I can't be much of help, but hope your plants will bloom when they should.

Thanks -
yeah, I apparently didn't get the easiest ones :p But, good news is they grow well, so hopefully someday I can see some blooms from them

I hope so as well!
