Hi New from North Texas
Hi, I found this website when I was looking for information on mini moth orchids. I currently have two, and I've managed to keep them alive for several months. I've grown a couple of moth orchids in the past but they both died. I didn't know much about orchids then, but now I'm learning more and more about orchids. I want to try growing cattleyas next.

Welcome North Texas:
I hope you find your visits to the Orchid Board as informative, fun and interesting as I have. You will find all sorts of Orchid enthusiasts here and any question you have will get some response. This is a group of very friendly people who like to talk about their orc's and we can brag to each other a little without having them roll their eyes at us, as others are so prone to do ! My partner does this so much, I surprised he can see to read! Have fun and ask anything! Steve :waving |
Thanks Steve! I'm hoping my mini moth orchids bloom next year. They were rescue plants lol.

Howdy from East Texas
When you feel the need to talk shop with people face to face about your orchids, there are two orchid societies near you -- the Greater North Texas Orchid Society, and the Forth Worth Orchid society. Look them up on the web, and visit with them a while! Bobby Dillon, among others, (but I know him) would be one to visit with about cattleyas if you ever go to GNTOS. Lots of nice folks at both places. Take care may all your orchids bloom like crazy Rex W. Ulmer aka POLKA newsletter editor Central East Texas Orchid Society Tyler, Texas |
Thank you so much Polka for the information. I didn't know there was an orchid society in this area. I'll definitely have to check it out.
