Very stunning! Bayard can you give us a bit of perspective on the size of your flowers and plant. I have read that this species is the largest flowered of the Cattleyas.

Dave - Flowers are 6.5 inches across x 7.5 inches tall. When the plant is well grown, I'm sure the flowers can exceed 8 inches natural spread. Plant is 20 inches tall now and probably can reach 2 feet.

Your Cattleya is really tall!
My plant is 20,5 inches tall now. It is second blooming.
