One of the few places in my house where I can maintain the humidity in the winter is the large master bathroom. And, it has an east facing window. :)

nice! orchids do seem to love that morning light!

That's a great set up! Something I've been hoping to try as well.. But because we might be moving in the summer back to Finland I've decided to wait. :)
So there is one light for the lower shelf as well?

That looks nice! Bathrooms are ideal for orchids, but my bathroom is windowless. Otherwise I'd have orchids hanging off the curtain rod by now!

I have 3 T5 light strips linked together under the top shelf. I got the idea on line and a friend who owed me a favor made it for me.:)

What's a light strip? Never heard that term before. Is it just 3 individual tubes hooked together?

PinkCloud 02-17-2011 03:03 PM

Connie Star -> You have some great freinds! :D

In the UK , a light strip is just another way of saying a fluorescent tube - we also say strip light, just to confuse things! I assume it's the same State side

What I'm referring to as a light strip is a fixture that has one tube light in it and plugs that attach on either end so you can string them together. They refer to "daisy chaining" them which is a more accurate description than strip light.
