Catasetum series on AOS
I just stumbled across this series of PDF's ...
Lars |
This should be made a sticky!! :D
these AOS beginner's series are very helpfull to understand the needs of this group of plants! |
These links don't work. Is that because of the AOS moving ?
They work for me: try again. Maybe the site went down or something
Just tried again = same thing. I just click on it the screen goes black, then white and nothing else happens. In the http is this; http://www.aos.org/AM/Images/pdf/Beg...ries-Ctsm1.pdf.
Am I supposed to wait, like 5 minutes or something with no visable activity in the tab ? Help ! TIA ! Chryss |

I downloaded them and am eading them now !
Great articles !! Thanks ! |
Thanks Lars. Very helpful information! The links were very slow to open for me but did work eventually.
:) |
thanks for posting these! so helpful!
Thanks Lars. Fascinating read. My Catasetum just produced a hermaphroditic bloom and the timing of your post was perfect.
WOW, great links! Thanks!
If interested in Cycnoches or growing them, the 2012 October included a supplement on them and the culture part authored by Fred Clarke is about the same for all the Catasetinae. If you don't get the AOS Orchids, copies of the supplement may be ordered from Naya@AOS.org for $10
there is also a webinar available - conducted by Fred Clarke. If you like cats, you will love this illustrated talk.
These links need to be up-dated. They no longer function.
Hello,
I think i am a few years late, because the links doesn't work any more. But i am still intrested for reading. Can maybe someone upload the series again? |
I would like to read them too.
Most likely the AOS has taken the material down. It may not be available anymore at all.
Thank you very much !
Great!! Thank you!
The links in the opening post of this sticky don't work anymore.... but looks like the files still exist for th 7 part series.
google : "Beginners_Series-Ctsm1.pdf" google : "Beginners_Series-Ctsm2.pdf" etc.... google : "Beginners_Series-Ctsm7.pdf" |
rbarata posted current links just a few posts above. As of today they are active.
Thanks for mentioning where those current working links are located. Amending the links (eg. moderator/admin edit) in the opening post could be handy too - as I notice that this thread is a sticky. Otherwise everybody will see the sticky, then they enter the sticky thread, and then encounter link issues when they click the out-dated links of the opening post.

It's understandable. Maybe they can update it later. |
The links are broken but easily found on AOS site...

Just an update. The links in post #18 work still. I don't know if the mods can amend the first post with the links in post 18 or not, but it might be worth a try.
