Laelia Canhamaniana var coerulea 'Cobalt'
 

Hello :hello My lealias are starting to bloom this year and this is the first one.It is a very old cross from Stewart Orchids.I love the blue color.:biggrin:

This is one of my all time favorite primary crosses. I've never seen this clone of it before, and it is just MAGNIFICENT! Well done.

P.S. I belive is it an Lc., but with all the name changes, I could be totally wrong. LOL

:hello Yes it is a Lc ( Catt mossiae var coerulea x L purpurata var werkauseri.)Sorry for mistake and thanks a lot.:)

The official registration is simply Cattleya Canhamiana now, or you could go with Sc. if you prefer. "L" purpurata is either a Cattleya or Sophronitis in current taxonomy, not a Laelia.

A beautiful display of huge flowers, no matter what one calls it. Nice growing!

That's an awesome shade of lilac-blue. And I love the contrasting yellow throat. :)

Grezafii orchids has divisions of C. Canhamiana coerulea 'Cobalt' AM/AOS for sale. Would this be the same orchid?

:hello,It is probably the one since they changed the Laelia to Cattleya Canhamiana var coerulea 'Cobalt' so if they have it this is the one.good luck:)

:hello and thanks a lot.I have another cross and instead of 'Cobalt' it is 'Azure Sky' the only difference is a little darker petals.I will post a new tread, they just open.:)
