Dtps Sogo Yunlin

I found this little one at Lowes, with a name tag! They are starting to carry orchids with proper name tags. And at good prices too.

I love the creamy, serbert color of this tiny one.

Thanks for the kind words all!
Yup, at Lowes. The store by my house is bringing in orchids with name tags. I always check that these have there tags and haven't fallen out because stores like Lowes and HD don't really care if these plants have tags. They just bring them in for the pretty aspect and not the serious orchid buyer. I got this one for $10.99 a total steal!

Chas I have been noticing this at my Lowes, too. Its amazing to see tags. I've even seen tags with the phals at King Soopers, too. Are our box stores becoming more reputable, right before our very eyes? Not likely. LOL

Very nice blooms you have here. Is it a mini? It has a species look and feel to it. So what is the name on the tag?

I'm not sure what you mean Ryan. The name on the tag said just this: Dtps Sogo Yunlin. I was wondering if it wasn't a species plant myself. It is a fairly small orchid. The blooms are small, about the size of a Quarter.

Sorry Chas my brain musta been foggy that day. Of course, you gave us the name-- duh, it didn't register, I'm sorry.

I don't think its a species, considering it has a hybrid name, but I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't far off from equestris, a species.

That's cool, I was just wondering if you ment something else and I wasn't getting it. I really do hope that it stays on the smaller size. So many of my orchids are just about to pop out of my enclosure because of their size. They like it in there and they won't be getting that sort of humidity out of the enclosure.

I cannot say for sure as I've only had an equestris hybrid for a few months, but mine has stayed quite small! In fact, all of my minis stay on the small side and have multi spikes that branch a lot. So chances are, this guy will not give you problems staying in the enclosure.

Chas now that I looked at it again, it makes sense that its a Sogo... Sogo Vivien is used a lot (a hybrid itself) and it is stunning-- so I'm not sure my assessment of which species is influencing this one is right. However, I have several Sogo vivien spin-offs and they remain quite small.

Well that's some good news! I love the smaller flowers of this plant. They seem so delicate.
