Thanks to all of you notifying us of the large amount of spam we got hit with! :yikes:

I THINK I got rid of it all but there still might be some lurking about. There's also the possibility that they're not done either :tapfoot:

It is just great that our community members are so helpful with controlling the spam... :thankyou

I hacked out a lot of spam too today...It's mainly automated bots posting garbage. I just installed a hack that will hopefully prevent majority of the automated bots from registering

Any chance we can add a bot filter where you type in a barely legible nonsense word as part of the registration or password? I see this on more and more secure sites all the time.

Thanks for posting this Sue. I wanted to say a big thankyou to everyone who had reported the ones I got first thing yesterday morning (UK time) but by the time I had finished clearning them all up (as well as the ones I spotted AS they were spamming) I had to rush out to work (only just made it in time).

Got some more this morning and it looks like the same style, so don't think they are finished yet :evil:

Luckily, I haven't seen them today around here, but I know what they can do... Thanks a lot Sussane! Generaly, when I see spammers on a forum, I like to report them :evil:
