You have a lot of very nice blooms to look forward to! :) My phals are early this year, everyone is in bloom now.

I know how you feel. I have about 15 phals that are all spiking now. I am shuffling them around under the lights to try to find room for them all. Luckily some have opened and I can move them out of the lights. Looks like you will have a little forest of phals too!

how long did you have the last phal the one with 12 leaves? how do you grow it?
How come the older leaves stay so plump and nice and do not get yellow and dry? curious! do you have a photo of your set up? congrats! |

Stefano,
I have had the last phal. about a year, I inherited it from my cousin when she moved to North Carolina. As far as how I grow it, it is planted the same as all my other orchids. It's planted in bark, I water it once a week, fertilize it every couple weeks and repot it when it needs it. Here is a picture of my setup from last year, all I have is a couple shelves on a screend porch. I live in FL, so my plants stay out uncovered most of the year, except when it gets in the 40s. http://fc05.deviantart.net/fs45/f/20...mandalee81.jpg |
