Cattleya violacea
Light colored violacea, some venation, unique lip pattern. This is a new division blooming for the firs time as it establishes, so the flowers should be even better next time.

Kinda reminds me of a firework! A very awesome one! lol

This type of neat flower is always pleasing to the eyes. I can't say I like ruffle edges better than this kind of "clean cut" edges.
Beautiful picture, light colored violacea but very neat.
Thanks, folks.
Looks great. This is one of the tougher ones to grow so you must be doing something right!
Nice one.
Good job Chris
Stunning!
Thanks everyone! Alas, I must cut the inflorescence today to allow the plant to dedicate its energy to growing.
I like that one. It is not easy to keep in my area! Good job!

Those are awesome blooms. And, like Steve said, you must be doing something very well because this species definitely has a reputation for being one of the more demanding in the cattleya genus. I wouldn't even attempt to grow such a warmth-loving species. But I can certainly take pleasure in looking at your beautiful blooms. Are they fragrant?

Thank you Mauro and Steve,
Steve, yes the blooms are very fragrant. It's a spicy, musky fragrance that's not unpleasant. |
Wow, great pic of a gorgoeous orchid!
I really like the color on this one. Kind of a blush.
