Hello from sunny Malaysia
 

Hello everyone......

I found this board by accident and I really thought you have a very lovely board.

You may call me Hami and I am from Shah Alam in Malaysia. The weather here may be quite different from where most of you are, though I did notice a lone newcommer from The Phillippines. I am retired now and think that I'd have a bit more time with the orchids which I have always had but with little time spent in the past. Currently I have about 150 pots in my collection ....not counting "twin sharing" in some cases.

Am looking forward to sharing information with all of you.:cheer:

Welcome Hami. There are many other members from your part of the globe. This board is heavy to North American members, but there are many others from as far as Ukraine and Europe over to Australia. The only measure on this board is a person's love of orchids and desire for information or to share experiences and information. People here really love to see pictures, so start your gallery and please share your corner of the globe with us. It's very cold here where I live, so I hope you can share pictures of warm conditions, palm trees, jungle, orchids, etc. Once again, welcome to the Orchid Board.

Yes, I have succeeded in creating my album here though my first couple of postings were done before that. I shall try to merge them in due course.

I stumbled here while trying to find the names of some varieties I have. Most outlets here do not tag their plants ....

Also I find the OB rather slow.

Hami, we've gone through some recent upgrades and you may find that your slow experience on OB is a thing of the past :D

I hope you get to spend more time around the neighborhood ;)

Think that you would have to sign on at
9AM your time to join chat which generally is around 5PM our time.
I will verify this tonight as you are in our future time while we are in your past time!! Mind boggling!

Really, cb977. My current experience is the return screen usually takes around 40-60 sec. But congrats on OB's effort to improve though.

Thanks for the info. Will try to snoop in some time. It is rather early for me though....

Gee, sometimes the return screen can be quite fast....which is good.:nod:
