Large Vanda
1 Attachment(s)
This is not a very good picture because I was aiming upward into the light. I could not take the plant down to film it because it is rooted to the two by fours. It is a beautiful lavender blue that blooms multiple times per year. The flowers are 5 1/2" natural spread. You can see how large they are when you compare them to the ascocenda underneath it. I purchased the plant in 1990 and this is a keiki of the original plant that has grown very large with three blooming size keikis. It is a big space hog but I intend to keep it. Oh, the name: Vanda Keeree.

:faint: OMG!! OMG!! If Im not carefull I will fall in love with Vandas again. That is gorgeous! And the picture is really good too. Can we get one of the whole plant please? Really curious to see them 2x4's :D.
Nice Asco too by the way!! :droo: |
I have GOT to move to Florida! Wonderful Vanda! I think taking the picture pointing at the light was a good thing. It's not washed out and it really shows off the tessellation.

That is a beauty I love the color one day I hope to have my vanda bloom. Right now I would just like to try to remember what the bloom looked like when we brought it back from Hawaii in 2006

This girl is spectacular!!!!

Wow, love those flowers

Nice one Jerry. It does make the ascda look like a midget. Beautiful colors even with the light behind it.

Stunning!
I love the vanda AND the Ascda! :cloud9: |

She is a space hog no doubt BUT a beautiful one at that. Such a deep jewel tone color and beautiful veining to boot. I just love it and the Ascda.

They both are beautiful, but I especially love the blue one. I guess I'm wierd......but I love to see the vanda roots. I find them fascinating.
I went to a show today and preordered a white vanda. I was so disapointed when I went to pick it up. She didn't take it with her because she said it wasn't in bloom. It is still in the greenhouse with my name on it. Now I will need to wait until warm weather to have it shipped :(( @#&*$:_( , that is if it EVER warms up in Michigan. It is possibly my fault because I didn't specify that I wanted it even if it wasn't in bloom. I expected to avoid shipping it. Marilyn |
