I got this a few weeks ago, in bud...so I take no credit for this one but she sure is pretty :D

Looks like something out there may be doing a little nibbling :(

Swamper 12-15-2008 04:10 PM

I agree , very pretty colors.

betoguerrero 12-15-2008 04:15 PM

VEry pretty...

JennS 12-15-2008 05:07 PM

Nice coloring.

cowboy51278 12-15-2008 07:20 PM

Gives me something to look forward to! I just picked one of these up off ebay. I was really interested in the saturation of color in the flowers and thought it might be a good one to put into a breeding program. Thanks for the pic Sue!!!

Chubidubi 12-15-2008 08:17 PM

It's very sweet!

Jkelee 12-15-2008 08:34 PM

I wuv her colors too!! Great job Sue!

cb977 12-15-2008 09:15 PM

LOL...I have to get our friend Laura to post a picture of hers! She brought in this massive plant chock full of blooms to a meeting...and refused to just give it to me! Well!!!!

It immediately went on "the list" and I was thrilled to find one recently :) Can't wait till she grows up :)

Lorraine 12-15-2008 11:30 PM

Thanks for the pic Sue. I love the color too. This one is on my list. I'm expecting to get one in January. I hope, I hope, I hope. I saw a large size in bloom leave the AOS show last month and it was the last one :(( so now I'll have to wait:tapfoot:

I know! Right? :bua:

Well, truth be told, I might have considered your offer, but Kelly Lea is such a good girl, she just sits in her basket and never makes a fuss...It's hard to part with ones that are easy to grow!
Now, the Phal species...those you can have, just come and get em, before I manage to kill them all!

cb977 12-16-2008 12:47 PM

Don't tease me!!! :poke:

Becky15349 12-16-2008 01:20 PM

A cutie for sure!! :D

ronaldhanko 12-16-2008 01:51 PM

Ronald, thank you so much for posting that pic! mine has a little notch at the top of two petals that I thought were done by something nibbling...but the pic you posted has the same trait!

It seems to have these notches most of the time. Must be something genetic.

dounoharm 12-16-2008 03:25 PM

i have been looking at those too, they are beautiful flowers!

I'm always learning something new here!
:lovesite

cowboy51278 12-16-2008 05:24 PM

When I ordered mine the bloom pic didn't have that notching at the top. Def an undesirable trait for breeding. I'll have to bloom mine out and see if she has it too. If so, Sue you're getting another one! :)

cb977 12-16-2008 06:29 PM

I've asked Laura if she has a pic of her whole plant but I'll have to ask her if she has a close-up of hers.

Curioser and curioser!

Dana and Laura: I know that's not a real word ;)

cb977 12-17-2008 03:38 PM

Verrrry interestink!

The second bud opened on this one and there are no notches! :scratchhead:

Leisurely 12-20-2008 09:35 PM

I like your plant very much. The color combination is exceptionally nice. I would never have guessed though that the parents were B. Nodosa x Ctna. Keith Roth. Knowing that, now I like it even more.

The last two blooms on this one came out with no notches in the petals

I love the color!

quiltergal 12-27-2008 12:04 PM

Wow Sue! That's a real stunner!! Is it a relatively small plant?

cb977 12-27-2008 12:13 PM

I'd consider it compact...with the potential to grow outwards very easily ;)

Mine is small right now but compared to the beauty that Laura introduced me too, it's tiny :coverlaugh:

Mine is in a 6" pot, Laura's was in a 12 inch basket (I think) ;)

betoguerrero 12-29-2008 09:35 AM

JUST BEAUTIFULL!!!
