Yes, they are called cable ties or zip ties and come in many different sizes and colors. I use them a lot on my orchids.

Thats a neat little guy! The plant looks kind of like a terete Vanda. Are they related? Is there any scent? Thanks!

Hi Steve :waving

Yes, Cleisostoma are a member of the vanda family.

This one, williamsonii, favors the terete leaf form while the other one I have, saggitiforme is more like a strap leaf...but much smaller ;)

They're perfect vandas for really small spaces...as long as you have room for the spikes :)

Hi Susanne,

This guy is really neat...and a vandaceous plant at that! And to think that I haven't heard of it before...what's up with that? :scratchhead:

In any event, it sure looks healthy and happy. Does it have a fragrance?

cb977 12-06-2008 07:55 AM

Hi David :D

You should check into the Cleisostoma chids...they are really cute! There aren't many hybrids either...a species snob's dream!
