The color on this orchid is amazing in person! I love it :) Sand. is a cross between Brassia x Cochlioda x Odontoglossum.

Amy- This is from Tom Ritter (Tropic 1 Orchids) just outside of Orlando, FL. He had one other there in bud as of last Saturday. It is an AWESOME greenhouse if you ever get the chance to visit/shop :)

Very beautiful...wish I could grow these guys...but then Ross would wonder where on earth I'd put them....he'd want to babysit them up there in the cold Michigan north country!!!!!!
|
Gorgeous blossoms on this one :D
I've got one, but it's a bit small to be blooming I think. So, I'll just enjoy yours :) What's that Doc, you can't grow one of these, why not? I would think it would go wonderfully with your Zygo crinitum  Ross could put his own next to his Peggy Ruth Carpenter  Take a chance Howard - It's fun! |
Wow, Alaska!! Just look at that spike! Fantastic.

My First
I just bought a Pacific Red Star which is my first orchid. Instructions on care especially prunning and watering were poor and sometimes contradictory.
Can you help? |
I grow mine with my cattleyas, which is moderate light (mine get 2500-3000 fc). Mine is potted in fine to medium bark and I water it 2x a week. They like to dry out moderately between waterings, but don't let them get completely dry. Temp range of 55-85 F, though mine don't really get below 65 F because I grow inside and just can't get my guest room that cool at night. I will move them outside during the fall to take advantage of the cooler night temps, though.
Good luck! |
I want one! It's gorgeous!
