Excellent looking flowers, Frank. I can see the influence of each species in that one. Do you grow mostly cattleyas, or do you have a diverse collection of orchids?

Great plant, Frank! love the influence of C. violaceae in it... Do you by chance have pure C. violaceae in your collection?

I don't know your experience but I think for the beginner or even intermediate grower it is wise to stick to several varities and get their culture down pat before venturing off into some of the more difficult growers. Anyway there are so many varieties, colors, shapes etc. within an alliance to make your heart skip a beat rather than killing so many with less than desirable cultural conditions. Very nice orchid, indeed.
