Consider putting up signs in your neighborhood. Pet bunnies don't travel far and not everybody reads the news.

Leafmite 10-18-2023 07:17 PM

I understand that bunnies make good stew--my family hunts so I have eaten it--but pet bunnies are intelligent, curious and trusting and it is rather cruel to kill them, just as it would be to kill a pet dog.

Our bunnies never wandered far if they escaped. The problem is, people dump bunnies when they tire of them. If no one claims the rabbit, there are rabbit rescues who will pick up the rabbit and find a new home for it.

Be careful. It looks like the Black Beast of Arrrghhh. If it is, death awaits you with nasty, big, pointy teeth! That rabbit's got a vicious streak a mile wide!

bunny lived across the street a few doors down. 'Lola' is back home now and I'm sad. Cats are happy though.

Escaped from a cage that was out in the yard letting Lola get some sun.

Real lucky little girl get her rabbit back all the wild animals out here.

I get me "Rabbit Rescue Ranger" badge now all ends well!!!

She got a little tail trim from some matted hair and a little sponge bath clean her up and even got some kibble before she went back home..had some grease on her face I washed off other than that she was okey

Wonderful! :)

If they are allowing bunny to graze, they are a good bunny family. We had a grazing cage for our last bunny but I made certain it had a bottom and was impossible for her to escape (and sturdy enough to protect her from other animals). She loved having time outside.

I detected the lady was surprised to see the rabbit come back. Sensing someone is getting tired of rabbit life. I offered to take the rabbit if she and her daughter felt it was time to offer it up for a good home..its the best I can do. Rabbits arent easy to take care of for a full time kid and mom that works 12 hrs a day. :waving

AND thanks for not eating rabbit today too!!!

DirtyCoconuts 10-20-2023 10:16 AM

good on you- also telling them you'd take it should give them mom a relief valve- she can plant the seed with the girl that 'ol bunnicula will be happier with you and so close by....

RJSquirrel 10-20-2023 01:17 PM

yeah I feel like in a few days I'm going to be a rabbit daddy.

I am having anxiety over the unknown and don't know why.

They don't make noise, but they do poop a lot.

WaterWitchin 10-21-2023 10:01 AM

Rabbits are very easy keepers, and the manure is fertilizer gold. Speaking from experience, we used to have over 100 of them when the kids were growing up.

DaylightFirefly 10-21-2023 12:38 PM

A friend of mine kept a rabbit as a house-pet. It was trained to poop in a particular spot, similar to cats using a litter box. The same rabbit reacted to her name being called.:) Your white cute rabbit is a real heartthrob.;))

Leafmite 10-21-2023 08:27 PM

We trained our last bunny to come to her name with cheerios. We could let her hop around our yard when we were outside and, when it was time for us to go inside or if she forgot where our yard ended, we would just have to call her name. She was very good about using her cage as a litter box.

RJSquirrel 10-25-2023 09:42 PM

This rabbit is litter box trained. I put a litter box out filled it with timothy hay and she hopped right in took care of business hopped right out. She had too many cawwots :) I guess she had some help too...ooops

Leafmite 10-25-2023 10:41 PM

They do love timothy hay.

WaterWitchin 10-26-2023 12:22 PM

Hey RJ... does this mean you now have rabbit custody?

RJSquirrel 10-27-2023 10:12 PM

Hare Hare now :)

WaterWitchin 10-28-2023 01:30 PM

Sure ain't Hare Hare here! Cold, rainy, freeze warnings.

Don't you mean usa/chan Otōsan?
