These are brand new purchases and my first try and Miltoniopsis. I have done very well with a Miltassia, is the culture the same? I have wanted to try them over a year, this was an online order. They both have new growth. Do you think they look healthy?
The Milt Morris Chestnut has an odd circle on the leaf I think it may be from the packing it doesn't have any odd halos just lighter. You can see in picture 2 at the top of the leaf.

they look healthy. Make sure to keep them moist in general specially when new growths are developing.

This is my first time growing under an LED. Both of my Milts are under it and get some window light. My Morris Chestnut is now in Double SPIKE and My MPS. Pretty in Pink is also in Spike!! Wow, I need to grow everything under LED if this is what happens. They are very happy plants~ and I thought they were supposed to be harder to grow? I will post pictures of my Morris Chestnut soon, the first spike has 3 buds about to pop!

How exciting!!!

These plants are capable of making 2-3 spikes per growth usually.

Good job! :)

Miltassia tend to like a little more light, but the culture is pretty similar. They like a drop in temperature to produce buds.

How do they look now??

NYCorchidman 05-23-2014 09:59 AM

Yeah, how are they now?

should be in bloom by now.
