Vanilla planifolia bud I hope
 

I've only had this little guy for 2 weeks and I think it might be a bud on it, the bud is near the bottom on the left, I hope it is :biggrin: sorry the picture are not the best I really need a better camera.

It is too young to flower, could be a stem; did you use any root starting hormone? The pictures are not clear enough. I have seen vanilla plants flower 10 to 12 feet long; and I considered that somewhat early.

Thanks for your reply, it was rooted when I got it, you might be right about it being new growth, I'll keep my eye on it and see what happens. I'll try for a better picture and they maybe you will be able to tell me what it is.

Some grow a single vine and some will grow branch vines; but it is a great little guy.
