My visit to Smiley's Orchids - Picture heavy.
 

I had a great time visiting Florida. The weather was perfect. The best part, besides getting soaked at Universal Studio, was the visit to Smiley's Orchid. She was so nice and She and her husband, PK cooked authentic Thai food for lunch. Since papaya salad was so good, I have been making every weekend. :D The followings are the pictures at her greenhouse and the plants I bought ( There are a few more, but not in bloom). Enjoy!

Den. chrysotoxum ( I think that is what it is. ) growing in Bamboo slots. According to her, the flower spikes cascade when they are in bloom.

Nice post; really like the way the dendrobiums are mounted on the bamboo.
You can make a dendro tower like that.

very nice pictures! i love papaya salad, my gramma makes it once in a while. did you eat it with pork rinds?

Papaya salad is most welcome.Never had it with pork rinds.

Cathy, there is always 'next time'. :)

Although I was not planning to bring the plants back with me, when she said that she could ship them, I went NUTS. Moving back and forth through the Vanda rows to make sure I am not missing anything. Of course, as I came back Smiley posted a picture of the Vanda which I did not get.
