Fairchild Botanical Gardens 'Ramble' Nov 11-12-13
This is probably the oldest garden show in the country having been held every year since 1929. It is a full garden show with numerous varieties of plants. It has a large selection of orchids as you might expect from an event that draws 15,000 visitors. If you come be sure to stop by my booth and introduce yourself. |
I know I will be there. I'm there almost every week LOL

How much is a membership anyway? if I became a member, do I have to pay the entrance fee? |
I wish I could talk you into growing natives in your teeny yard, there are some real beauties out there, but I do see the beauty in the proteas.
If you become a member you don't pay entrance fee which is about 20 dollars. I think the membership is 90-100 something like that. How about a nice butterfly garden with beautiful natives, some will even attract hummingbirds to your area? I'll even help you with the labor. :) |
I think the membership is only about $35.
The high entry fee is really a membership drive. They will offer you a membership including admission when you arrive. Call them to be sure. 305.667.1651 There is a lot going on at the gardens several times a week, in addition to the beautiful grounds. It is well worth a membership. Then there is their International Orchid Show in March, where the entire gardens is turned over to orchids. |
