Hi, everybody. These are my current orchids.
Tray 1 - the first one on the right is Paph. Gloria Naugle in bud.

Tray 2 - It started as "Phrag Tray" but some of them died due to the water quality.

Tray 3 - Another Paphs. They are primarily Parvi cross paphs. I love those.

Tray 4 - More.... The one on the left is Paph. Harold Koopowitz. It has four growths and is ready to bloom this spring (I think.)

Tray 5 - Most of them are muti-flower paphs. The one in the middle with WIDE leaf span is Paph Lady Isabel.

And I have a newly added "Vanda House" with them.

Wow that's cool. Like the Vanda house setup.

Good Growing

Hey Naoki,

Great looking set up and great looking plants...nice and healthy.

As Sheridan has already pointed out, the vanda area is very cool looking. What are you using for air circulation? I didn't see a fan, although I suspect that you've got it removed for the photo op. :D

Thanks guys.

As for the air circulations, here is the secret. :D . A main fan is placed in the opposite side of the growing area. And the another one is on top of the tall cabinet, which let the hot air out to the living area. You see it on upper left side. They are on 24/7.

Ah-ha...very clever! I knew that you had fans somewhere...your vandas look nice and healthy, and good air circulation around these plants is crucial for them. Well done! :D

David, here is my question to you.

Pacific NW has been hit Arctic Blast and I think we will not see above freezing temp until next week. My growing area hit 50 degree last night.

Should I turn the fan off as the lights go off?

nice setup naoki...i also really like your vanda 'house', very clever setup....thanks for the pics!

I love your vanda house. What do you have wrapped around it? Is the top covered also?

I may need to do some major work to cut the bottom off my carts under my vandas to make room for the height. They sure have added a lot of height in a little over one year.

That is a job which I will need help with. Where to find help??????????

I'm not David, but my 2 cents is I would never turn the fans off at night. At least not for mine. As a minimum, the fans circulate warmer air into cold air pockets (as in my case.) So leave them run. Just my 2 cents.
