How to handle this nearly dead root system
Default

Hey all!
Thanks for everyone’s input. I have been nursing my orchid since March when it got the input. Daily (almost!) watering. Keeping it in a warm bright place. New roots have now started and a new leave has started. Attached are a couple of pics. So my question now is, can I pot it now in orchid medium?
Thanks again for helping to revive it. Looking forward to seeing it bloom again someday!

(Sorry, I thought I was attaching this to the original thread)

You were attaching to original thread. Just went to page 2. Were it me, I'd continue with what you're doing and let the roots get a bit longer... similar to what you'd do with a keiki, three inches or so of root length.

Looking good, but if you want to accelerate the recovery process, C & C Orchids in Hamilton ON sells KelpMax In Canada through Facebook.
