Leda expanded clay pellets

Looking to try some new medium for my Phals. Anyone have experience with less expanded clay pellets?

LECA (lightweight expanded clay aggregate) is commonly used with semi-hydroponic systems, where its wicking ability maintains moisture around the roots. It can also be used as a medium without the hydroponic aspect, but it will dry pretty quickly. You might want to check out firstrays.com for more information about semi-hydro.
