Should I divide or not?
I get this question from time to time. The short answer is, unless the plant is becoming unmanagably large, DON'T divide. A large mature plant will produce more new growths and flowers, than the sum of it's divisions.
I toyed with the idea of dividing my Cym Amelia Earhart 'Scott Valine' AM/AOS two years ago, but ended up leaving it intact as I repotted. I just heard that it won best specimen at the SEPOS show this weekend.
