Default New to orchids, need advise

I have just received my orchids that I ordered from Akatsuka Orchid Gardens in Hawaii. I would like to know where is the best site/place to buy supplies. I live in Northeast Georgia, USA and have a great room for my orchids, but it gets very dry in the fall/winter. Any advise will be appreciated!

I'm also in northeast Georgia. I can't suggest one place over another for supplies, but I keep the humidity up for my plants using cool air ultrasonic humidifiers.

Thank you! I'm in Demorest, GA, small community. Lowe's or Was-mart are the only stores that are around for possible supplies. Would you be against Amazon for supplies or is there another specialty orchid supply site you might suggest?

Kelley's Korner (kkorchid.com) and Chula (chulaorchids.com) are two of the best.

Agree with Ray but also Tindara.com and Repotme.com. Welcome and what orchids did you get?

Chula Orchids has an excellent selection of pots. Repotme offers great customer service and will custom mix medium for you, but their shipping is pricey. Avoid paying high shipping prices for liquid fertilizers.

The medium you get will depend to some extent on what orchids you have. Thicker rooted plants like chunky medium, generally, and thin-rooted plants will do well in a finer textured mixture.

Frankly, the fertilizers you can buy at WallyWorld, etc., are fine. However, I would recommend that EVERYONE buy KelpMax (from Ray) and use it religiously.

I bought 4 plants:
1) Red Cattleya Hybrid. it has roots overflowing the plastic pot it came in. Not sure what to do with it if anything!
2) Mtdm. Pacific Paragon 'Honey Butter'
3) Onc. Heaven Scent 'Redolence
4) Ett. Volcano Trick 'Volcano Queen'

I think I may have bit off more than I can chew with these plants, but I'm determined to get them to grow and bloom!!
