Thank you, my friends

Btw, my favorite thread here, lots of knowledge and experience, in different growing conditions too. The timeline with the photos is a great documentary from new growth to bloom.

You made my day, Cheddarbob14.
The main reason I like updates in the same thread (like this one) is because it always contains valuable information that might be useful to people who wants to know more about a certain genus/specie/hybrid.
Because it covers a long time of a plant's life, it's like a journal.
Knowing that it helped at least one single person is enough to consider it a good way to post.
Thank you again.

A minor thread hijack, or with rbaratas permission, an addition to the thread. My 1st blooming size cattleya, a bifoliate, Pot. Love Passion 'Orange Bird. I bought it in bloom, on a clearance rack at English Gardens. I found this thread to be most valuable in my search for knowledge. The last bloom dropped around march 10, couple weeks later a new growth sprouted. Repotted around April 1 into lava rock in a mesh basket when the new growth reached about an inch long (no new root tips yet). Exsisting roots were in poor condition. Much to my excitement this morning she has 2 new roots sprouting. New growth is about 2" long. She is indoors, in an East facing window, direct sun for a few hours, bright indirect light for most of the rest of the day. Producing the sweet sticky stuff like it gets paid to do so lol.

The invasion has started...
Hopefully the root will turn inside again.

Beautiful. Maybe it will and maybe it'll just go all over the place... when it's hanging, doesn't really matter. But it looks really happy.

Another update on this one...
It seems there's a new growth poking through the sheath...after all this one seems to bloom in spring and late fall.

Great looking plant! I love Catts! From the looks of the second photo, I think you might find a second one growing in the next couple of days.
