Or more if it's happy and it's in the genetics. If it is one of those double bloomers, it is also less fussy about repotting time since it has more than one rooting period. |

Whereas the species generally produce growth once a year, many hybrids continue making one new growth after another, while conditions are correct. Some hybrids can bloom 3-4 times a year if kept warm and bright.

My LC Siamese Doll has proven to be a twice a year bloomer, spring and fall. It does as you suggest, rbarata, maturing a growth in approx. 6 months and starting the next pretty much immediately.

Update on this one...the new growth and spike.
This time I have only 2 buds. I was expecting more but it seems one of the buds aborted.
As this is my first plant in a basket, do you think it might have something related with not enough water?
I've been watering it by pouring water over it, every 2 days. HR is between 20 and 30%.

Finally it bloomed again under my care.
I was expecting more flowers but got only two. I suspect it has something to do with watering.
Now I'm eagerly waiting to see if it starts another growth to bloom again next fall.

Well done! Now that it is happy in its basket, it is likely to put out more than one growth at a time, which means more flowers... it won't have to be disturbed again for a long time, so as it gets established, the flowers will come.

Congratulations! I hope to follow in your footsteps in more than 1 way, reblooming catts and owning at least 1 spotted catt. I'm such a big fan of the spots. Btw, my favorite thread here, lots of knowledge and experience, in different growing conditions too. The timeline with the photos is a great documentary from new growth to bloom.
