I think I took all the snail out last sunday when I repotted the orchid. I also sprayed the roots with Hydrogen peroxide. I have no idea if there're any snails left . Submerge the whole plan under the water, do you mean including the leaves. I'll do it on sartuday, I may have to try the chemical if I see more snails.

Submerging the plant should get them to come to the surface and allow you to pick them off. If you don't have too many orchids, it is possible to get rid of them with continued diligence.

Does not work. These guys are just fine below or above the water line.

Doubtful these guys are gone. They've either got eggs on the plant roots or are already proliferating in your other plants.

Exactly. You cannot get these in just a few tries. And if you miss just one, it lays more eggs and the cycle starts over. They will even hide in crevices of mounts. They definitely seem to go into the medium (even dirt).

How appropriate this should come up. Just received an order of 3 Masd. and noticed slime trail in all 3-YUCK. Too late to go to store last night for a killer solution but on Rays site he mentionned coffee/water mix of 50/50.Hate wasting my caffeine on these unmentionables but did so out of necessity.Picked out 3 slugs last night(EWWW)and will keep an eye out for others. Does anyone think I should replace medium at this time as well? TY

Changing the media would likely help. You'll have to dunk the plants every 2 weeks to get rid of any young that hatch out. Even then, its not guaranteed to work.

Does coffee work? I add the grounds to all my acid-loving plants as compost but still see the little buggers.

Hasn't worked for me, but then again, neither have the toxic chemical baths. Its probably good to knock the population down, but I'm convinced that once you have bush snails, they're around forever.
