Unhappy repotting quandary

I have had this Cymbidiumfor a few years now and it has never re-bloomed. It is scraggly and overgrown. I am pretty sure I need to repot it. I repotted one other Cym and it promptly died. It should also be divided but I have no clue how to do this safely.

There are Cymbidium experts here and there are people like me, but I think it's better to wait until it's making new growth.

I'm not a Cym expert but I agree. Spring is a better time to re-pot it. Has it been getting a good chill in the fall and winter and good bright light? Cooler temps in fall usually initiate blooms that show up sometime in the winter or spring.

Looks like a healthy plant, I would wait til spring to repot. Unless you feel like the needs to repot it.

Spring - early summer is the ideal time to repot.
There are links to some good Cym care info here: Basic Cymbidium culture (links)
As far as dividing - I'd just cut the rhizome right in the center of that plant - tho dividing isn't necessary.
