Repotted Paph
I know this is probably not the ideal season to repot, but I ordered several paphs in January, and one of them had bad roots (only two...and half rotten). I put in a 2 1/2 inch orchid pot, which fit the roots at the time.
It's since recovered and produced lots of new root growth (photo attached...and bear in mind it only shows the roots that were growing OUT of the slots..there were others in media).
My concern was that I managed to nip the very tip of the protruding root to the right (excuse me...it got rotated, the root facing UP now) as I tried to get it to release the slots of the pot. Is that root now DOA or is it likely to branch ?

It may or may not branch. However, Paphs often do well with just a few roots. If this plant has set a bunch of roots after repotting**, I wouldn't worry about possibly stunting one root.
** You can repot Paphs at any time of the year, whether in bud, bloom or not.

I'm kind of curious as to why your using this type of pot or do you just like watering every day?

My greatest fear was overwatering..I wanted to minimize that....and this is my first "successful" batch of paph...accquired this late winter.
I've always killed them before (with not enough water).
