Lightbulb mokara potting, not neccesary stuff and tips plus care

Ok so, um actually we are going to discusss about mokara potting issues and stuffs.
FIRST STEP, you must choose a good pot but not neccesary well ventilated.
I keep them in a none ventilated pot which house plants do.And the most important stuff is to find a pot with wide surface area for roots to come out, any house plants pot will do.here is the link 20150423_090840.jpg
STEP TWO, potting media.you must find a good media such as coconut husk (coco peat) it is the best media I had ever used, charcoal, red rock, or even bark chips. It all depends on yah.BUT REMEMBER find a good media that can get soggy not bone dry when left two or three day not water EX.charcoal, red rocks, rocks
So the best is coco peat
For the mix I usually take four or five large red rock mix with coco peat and red sand.50% cocopeat, 40 to 50% red rock and 1 till 10% red sand.20150423_090849.jpg.20150423_090847.jpg. STEP THREE WATERING, it depends on the media.Ok so here is the chart
Cocopeat-once every week (heavy pour)
Charcoal-twice every day(holy soaking wet)
Red rocks-once every day(soaking wet
Bark chips-thrice a week(heavy pour)
STEP FOUR fertilizer.i use red sand, compost soil or aquarium soil.
Encourage to use natural fertilizer cause it wont burn the roots
STEP FIVE flower.
Sit back and enjoy your present from you lovely mokara.
Here are some picture of the bud,20150423_090917.jpg
Ok so hope it helps.see you next time

I do not have any mokaras but I do have vandas and other vandaceous orchids. I grow mine in clay pots with chunky bark. It is always interesting to hear other growers tips. Thanks again.
