Do I keep the reservoir of water at the bottom full?

And could it work to save my rootless orchid if I used it with KLN? I have another post with photos for my poor root rot victims: Help! sick dying root rot on phals need rescue!

Here are two examples. Note water drains to the level of the holes. Just water when it has evaporated. I also mist daily which accounts for the arial roots.
