coryanthes macrantha box

I have this macrantha that is currently in spike so I am waiting to repot it for now. I found in my orchid stuff a vanda box that should be the right size. What I want to know is if there is a good way to clean it before setting my new plant in there? I don't remember what was in there last and take a chance on putting my very healthy Macrantha into a diseased box....most likely I will have to order new vanda boxes but they can take 2 weeks to get here.

Kindra, I would just boil it in a hot water, that will for sure kill anything that could be there, if you wish, maybe soak it in Physan to be on the safe side, but I do reuse old baskets and pots all the time!

It's to big for the box! It's in a ceramic pot I drilled holes in that my cycnode used to fit in until I can get a new 12 inch one in.
