Default is this cat ready for repotting

i'v had this cattleya for nearly 2 months i thought i had a year before it would need to be repotted.the roots are popping out all over and under.what should i do?

It looks fine to me. They like to be fairly root bound. When you do re-pot, wait until you see new root nubs just starting. Catts do this at different times of the year depending on what is in their parentage.

ok will leave it for now,bit scared of repotting it i'v heard horror stories of repottings on catts gone wrong.

You could probably just pull the Catt out of the pot and put it in a new one without knocking off the media. Then there would be little to no shock to the plant.
