I agree. that's why I wash them and soak them several times before use. It makes a great, inexpensive orchid medium when mixed with lots of perlite

Watch your new roots coming in with the new mix. If the root stop growing when they touch the CHC, you'll know it was salty. ;-)

You could call Repot Me and ask them what they think. I hear they are very happy to answer questions. That is what I would probably do. If they say that you should have rinsed it, you could, at this point, flush the pots really well with water to get rid of the excess salt. Good luck!
