I have to say, that mix looks way too fine for just about any orchid.

Honestly, I don't know why you would make such a complicated mix. You really don't need more than 2 or 3 ingredients to any good media. Each species will require a different potting mix and if its too complicated, tailoring such mixes becomes too difficult to do effectively.
