What to do with these kiekies?

I bought a few new orchids this week. Among others are Den. hercoglossum and loddigesii. Both have 6-7 canes and some of the canes carries multiple kiekies. Some of the kiekies are quite mature.

To encourage bloom on the parent next spring, should I separate these kiekies? What are the pros and cons of leaving them on the plants, and would their canes produce spikes while remaining on the parent plants?
