My objective is for the plant to develop massive and firm pseudobulbs. I also love the natural planter, I have a guy make them for me at the price of 60,000 Vietnamese dong, that converts to $2.81. :big grin:
Tips Judith. . . Healthy roots are absolutely essential. Warmth, a stone or clay well aerated media, frequent waterings, high humidity with good air movement, and constant low doses of nutrition.
In the right medium they love water. I think recommendations of watering every 4-7 days is nonsense.
I am repotting mine later today in a terracotta pot, scoria for the growing medium. This provides rapid drainage yet retains a small amount of water in the air pockets on the stone.
