You can keep the decorative pot for now if you want till you get a better container that has more holes. Just make sure you get the inner pot out when watering, let water drain before you return it inside the decorative pot. That way excess water has drained out and will not sit too long in the root zone.

hmmm did the way cool orchid pots happen to already have orchids in them? LOL

Sorry, I don't need anymore, but I can totally see how they could become an addiction!

Actually, no. No orchids in the pots. Just pots.

and if you catch them "out of season" you can get them fairly cheap too! Well out of season by Texas standards

thanks for all of the info! No trip anywhere this last weekend (unless you count the river...which was too cold to swim in, but the fishing was great! And they tasted awesome too!)

So poor things are still in their same pots. I'll get to the 'big city' at some point in time...soon I hope. Possibly this weekend, but not 100% sure yet...

Ok, so I've decieded that since I haven't been able to repot into good pots with fresh medium, I just took the clear plastic pots out of the ceramic decroative ones. I submerged them to water this am. I thought I'd just set them in a sink full of water for 5 mins or so, so they were soaked, pull them out to drain and finish getting ready for work...no that did not work, they would not stay upright, lol, so I had to stand there at the kitchen sink!

Then I got two tea cup plates, stuck some pebles on them and set them on that without their decrative ceramic pots. I really like those pots from repotme, but I haven't got the $$ for them, so I hope i can find some similar to those at Lowes, if I ever to get to go there!

I did not put water on the plates with rocks, I figured they would drain into them anyway. I did notice some root rot when I pulled them out so figure they need repotted as soon as I can! I also set up the fan on low to blow into the bathroom, but not directly on them, that should give them good air flow. I'll probly shut it off at noon!
