For anybody who even remotely thinks this is a true statement, (so, that means, this is not meant for those who do know ), what Hausermann's said in response to this situation is a fallacy. Vanda sanderiana roots do not die back during the winter and re-grow in the spring/summer. The roots of Vanda sanderiana stay intact on the plant year-round.
Just wanted to make that absolutely clear for anybody who comes across this thread or for those who are lurking out there who are wondering what the truth of the matter is.

...atleast they weren't rude but that's just wrong information right there.. I'm just happy that the plant is recovering quite fast.
